Osama explains it !

Obama 'explains' I sure hope this gets around before Nov.!!! On Sat, 22 Mar 2008 18:48:04 -0400, 'LTG Bill Ginn' USAF ret. forwarded the following: Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played. According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. 'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides,' Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.' Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could possibly be our next president!! I, for once, am speechless. He has absolutely NO pride in this country!!!!! This is outrageous!!!! He doesn't deserve to be dogcatcher!!! (Oh, sorry dogcatchers, I mean you no disrespect.) |

This was debunked months ago. Barack Obama never said it:

It's amazing how the advent of the internet has allowed so many people to expose how truly ignorant they are.
Oh, and SO CLEVER how you replaced the B in his last name with an S. How did you ever think THAT up?

Before you want to vote for someone you ought to know wether or not they're a gay traitor. Unless you got no problem with that.
He even lies about being black. What kind of person would do that? His dad's birth certificate says Arab. He lies about being Muslim too. What kind of man is this? You want to vote for that? Brains??

Do you mean his tax plan that would lower taxes for 95% of taxpayers while increasing taxes on the wealthiest 5%? Taxes pay for services that we all share in this society-- everything from the building of highways, to running of schools, to cleaning up the pollution that irresponsible companies put in our air and water. Now granted, government agencies don't always do a perfect job of this (particularly not when you appoint unqualified cronies to carry out these duties), but certainly you'd agree that SOMEONE has to pay for these services, right? And a tiered tax structure--one where the people at the top pay more--is fairest. Let's say we did a flat tax instead and, using a totally arbitrary number, make it 5% of income. 5% hurts a LOT more when you're making minimum wage, than it does when you're taking home $2 million/year.
And if you're talking about using taxpayer money to fund programs like health care for poor people, there is no question that it is cheaper to treat problems like this with government money in the earliest possible stages, than to respond down the road when these problems become MAJOR expenses. Giving low-income workers health insurance means they will go to the doctor when they are sick, not wait till they have infected everyone they come into contact with and then head to the emergency room. Similarly, government spending on things like youth programs helps prevent a MAJOR government expense later-- the costs associated with incarceration and the often irreparable harm to innocent victims.
Are these the kind of "socialist" programs that you fault Obama for embracing?

And, really, isn't it time to put this "Osama" business to rest? Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist who murdered thousands of innocent Americans. Like comparing someone to Hitler, calling someone "Osama" should be reserved for the worst of war criminals and terrorists. Last I checked, Barack Obama is a decent man who, whether you agree with his governing philosophy or not, has never committed genocide or blown up innocent civilians. So let's try to be adults, okay?

All you simply have to do is google Obama's ties to terrorism and you will see that they are not baseless accusations.
And dude - watch Loose Change on Google video already - 911 was a total inside job.

And yeah, his father's family was Muslim? So? He was not raised Muslim. And even if he was, there is nothing wrong with being Muslim. Just like there's nothing wrong with being Christian just because some wacko decides to kill people because he thinks Jesus told him to. Last time I checked people were still free to believe--or not believe--anything they want in this country. But, getting back to Obama, the point is that he is, in fact, Christian. (Remember Rev. Wright? How can he both have a controversial pastor at a Christian church AND be Muslim?!)

Try using your brain, Barry. If you're a committed Christian you don't walk around using a Muslim name anymore than a Muslim uses a Christian name like John. It wouldn't make sense.
In high school he was going by Barry Obama - now it's Barrack and he's not Muslim? BS.

Isn't America the melting pot? We all came from some other land originally. And unless your last names (or first names) are of Native American origin, I can't see how you can't fault Obama for keeping his name. McCain certainly isn't a Native American name. So he went by "Barry" as a younger man to fit in more, and then went by his full name, "Barack," when he felt more comfortable with himself and less pressured to conform. So? Being more comfortable with your identity and your heritage is a bad thing?
And yes, I'm reading Obama's book. Because I wanted to know more about the man. McCain's books are ADMITTEDLY ghost-written, so they can't give you much insight on the man himself. But Obama wrote his books, so I figure they're a pretty decent way to get a measure of his character. I like what I've read so far.
I don't even know what to say about Jim's previous comment. It doesn't really make much sense. But I know you've been through quite a bit lately on a personal level so I'll give you a pass.
I'm not an impostor. Barry just happens, by coincidence, to be my first name.
And I'm sure you all will have some very mature Polish jokes as a rebuttal. Let's have 'em.
