SAN FRANCISCO - The state Supreme Court has upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage, but also decided that the estimated 18,000 gay couples who tied the knot before the law took effect will stay wed.

The decision Tuesday rejected an argument from gay rights activists that the ban revised the California constitution's equal protection clause to such a dramatic degree that it first needed the Legislature's approval.

The announcement of the decision caused outcry among a sea of demonstrators who gathered in front of the San Francisco courthouse awaiting the ruling.

The news interviewed one of the married and got to keep it couple who said it is about rights of survivor as spouse thereby which they claim is only acceptable term for marriage BUT of course it is not Right of survivorship is afforded in any civil union between anyone ! Its called a will. And for those of you who think your spouse, Because of marriage, Is entitled ..Think Again .. What happens if you die without a will ? It becomes open to challenge by any family member. A will is your last wishes ! Naming your wife as benefactor of ALL is important if she is who you want to have sole propriety of your stuff !

  5. What was the name of "Lotts" online buddy back in the days of soddam and Gamorrah ? He was nuetral and "They" walked all over people until they got their way. I beleive the story goes ... "They" were rioting in the streets of town (L.A.) today as the Supreme Court of California handed down its "Opinion" Concerning Gay Marriage . There was Blood sacrifices to BAAL as crowds destroyed everything in thier way down "Main" street !
