WASHINGTON (June 29) -- The Supreme Court ruled Monday that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.

New Haven was wrong to scrap a promotion exam because no African-Americans and only two Hispanic firefighters were likely to be made lieutenants or captains based on the results, the court said Monday in a 5-4 decision. The city said that it had acted to avoid a lawsuit from minorities.

4. Reverse discrimination is still discrimination no matter how you toss the coin ! Heads is Heads and Tails is Tails ! Discrimination hurts all of us and is not the way of the future. The futre is equality for all ! Watch and see how that become the creed of the gay cause !

17. Id Ban this sotomyhor woamn if I could. Ban her from ever working in dc or any other court room Drama ! Including made for television court BS ! All she does is create more work for those who actually work on the supreme court. Everything she has ruled on as a judge has been overturned ! Embarrassing doesnt begin to describe this dumbass !
